elopments

A formal wedding ceremony isn’t for everyone and while a lot of couples enjoy the all of the planning and build up for a big wedding day with family and friends, there are some who are happy to have a very low key event and opt for a simple elopement.

My elopement package is truly just about the two of you! But unlike a ‘Popup’ style wedding, my packages give you more…

More choices – You can pick your own day to get married. Week days or weekends, day or evening

More intimate – You won’t be lined up with 5 or 6 other couples. just you and your closest friends

More stylish – The ceremony will be written personally about the two of you, no template ceremonies

More fun – Choose a venue that you’ve always wanted, beach or park, bushland or backyard (within 30km of CBD) with up to 10 of your closest friends to help you celebrate.

Legal stuff – As a Commonwealth Civil Celebrant, I am authorised to look after ALL of the legal marriage lodgement documentation. I will also be able to advise you if there is anything else that may be legally required in order to make your marriage complete.

This is the best way to keep your wedding costs down while still having a beautiful ‘personal’ ceremony.

It’s very important know that an elopement still needs to be performed in accordance with the Australia Marriage Act, to be deemed a ‘legal’ marriage. This means you’ll both need to be over 18yo, have relevant identification, you’ll need two witnesses and you need to lodge your marriage request no less than 31 days before your marriage (I can assist with this). There are other requirements, but we can discuss this.

Remember, that while it may seem ‘romantic & fun‘ to elope, you need to think about how this might impact on your family and friends down the track. I urge you to carefully consider your elopement before you proceed.
