Notice of Intent to Marry

In order to register your intent to marry, you need to complete a Notice of Intent to Marry (NOIM).  The NOIM must be presented to a celebrant no later than 31 days and no longer than 18 months before your intend to be married.  For further information you can go to the Department of BDM to download a copy of the NOIM. However if you choose me to be your celebrant, I’ll be able to help you completed the NOIM as long as you present the following;

Australian citizen – Original birth certificate or Current Australian Passport
Non-Austrian citizen – Original birth certificated (translated by an authorised & registered translator) or Current valid overseas passport.

If you have been married before, you’ll also need to provide evidence of the divorce, annulment or death.
